Who are you?
Hi, my name is Suzanne and I am 27 years young. I was born and raised in Amsterdam, but moved to Haarlem 3 years ago, and I absolutely love it here. I live a 5 min bike ride away from the office where I live in a cute house with my two cats. I will be working at Techspire for 3 days a week from Monday to Wednesday. The remaining days of the week I will be spending by working on my photography business or doing breathwork or trauma release sessions.
What would you like people to know about you?
I concider myself a "free spirit". I love to travel, which I did plenty when I traveled the world for 13 month when i was 21 years old, visiting 9 countries.I love connecting with new people and learning about their lives and culture.
Do you have a life motto? what is it?
Go wherever the flow takes you
What is the most "nerdy thing" about you?
I dont consider myself very nerdy (anymore). When I was younger I was bullied because of "being nerdy". I used to play with lego's, play a lot of gameboy/video games (Pokémon fire red for the winnn!), wear socks while wearing sandals (i know, this is stereotype) and I was quite boy-ish. Somewhere along the way I kind of lost that identity. I guess the most nerdy feature I have nowadays is whenever there is a subject that I know a lot about, I can't stop rambling on about it (topics such as: nutrition, spirtrituality, photography or traveling).
Do you have interesting hobbies?
Everything that gives me adrenaline. I love snowboarding, hiking, bouldering, mountainbiking, camping and picked up kite surfung lately as well. I Also love everything that has to do with spirituality and sjamanism.
Any bloopers in the past you would like to share?
I can be sóó clumsy. One of the biggest bloopers must be that one time I forgot my Camera bag to a wedding I had to photograph in Switzerland. Luckily I was photographing this wedding together with my boyfriend and he had 2 bodies and a large variety of lenses, so the bride and groom did not know of this mistake and we took awesome pictures.
With what it problem should the person who read this, contact you immediately, as you cannot wait to solve it?
It's probably better if you resolve it yourself, or even ask your 3 years old [insert family member here]
Tell us any (weird) fun fact about you?
I visited 37 countries (and counting), but I am actually terrified of flying. This can be a quite interesting spectacle when I am traveling alone and seated in the middle seat :')
Why do you (want to) work for Techspire?
The company values really appeal to me and I really liked my job interview with Freek's creative questions.
